Who Am I?

I have loved art and science for as long as I can remember.
Winner of fine art shows? Check. Editor-in-Chief of my high school arts magazine and head of the Art Honors Society? Check. The most coveted research lab partner? Double Check. But sadly I did not think that art and science could co-exist in one totally awesome career - until I found Human Factors/User Experience.

With degrees in both Graphic Design and Interactive Media/Web Design, I can imagine a product in all aspects of the visual realm. A dreamer at heart, but with the rare ability to ground my thoughts in science and research. I am as enthusiastic about people as I am about design, and finding elegant solutions to complex problems while staying at the cutting edge of technology is what makes me tick. Obsessive pursuit of perfection and fanatical attention to detail is the way I work. And exuding clarity and authenticity is how I am going to make your web product succeed.

When I'm not working, I can be found sketching or conducting my own little ethnographic studies in cafes, restaurants, or on any willing participants. I am a people-watcher at heart - in a scientific way, I promise.

1. PLAN
Synthesize business problems, available technology, and a genuine understanding of user needs into a clearly articulated creative approach.
2. PROTOTYPE
Whether it's a whiteboard, sketch, static wireframe, or HTML prototype, the goal is to explore many different ways to approach a problem before settling on a solution.
3. PUBLISH
Imagination, design, and engineering finally fuse. The sooner you can get a sketch, design, prototype, working site in front of your users, the sooner you'll know how to make it better.
